Welcome to the Global Writers Forum and the Writers Special Interest Group.
We are an eclectic bunch varying from very experienced writers with large published lists to absolute beginners with some who are just interested observers more generally. By far the majority are beginners and part of our reason for existence is to encourage them to continue writing and to become published authors.
We have around 55 members at present and we consist of two bodies; The 'SIG' and the 'Forum'. The reason for this split is that many of the group who have attended our Gimborn Writers Seminars in Germany are not from the UK so cannot be members of the Section UK SIG; the way round this is to have a 'Global Writers Forum' attached to us. It seems to work well.
We publish what was originally an occasional newsletter but is at present a regular magazine called 'Writes'. Please write for this regularly if you can! This has a larger readership worldwide as it is published on both the IPA and IBZ websites. We also meet by Zoom on the first and third Wednesday each month from 4.00pm to 5.15pm (UK time).
